Very worreid

a few days ago i noticed that my vagina was swollen and there was a white bump, like a pimple, near my clitoris. Before this my vagina was itchy but i just thought it was from shaving since that usually happens. Then i noticed that there was a red bump on my clitoris that hurt to touch and just yesterday i noticed more white sores. I've been with the same person for 8 months so i dont think its herpes or anything but i'm really worred. It hurts and i can barely even cross my legs. Please help!!

You went to the doctor and he actually did an exam?  Did you get tested for herpes?  I have never seen a yeast infection have open sores all over.  You should go back!!

I agree this sounds suspicious for herpes.  Discuss that possibility with your provider, especially if the symptoms aren't definitely improving with 2 days of yeast treatment.

i went to the doctor's yesterday and he gave me a pill for a yeast infection. he said it's supposed to clear up in 48 hours. and on the medication it said the symptoms should start getting better in 24 hours. it's still very swollen and burns a lot. like it burns when i pee and just all the time. what could this be and why isnt it clearing up?

You shouldn't get white bumps all over from a yeast infection.  It really sounds like herpes.  A yeast infection would cause all over redness and all over to be swollen.  You should go to the docor. You can get herpes, even from a long time ago!

Monistat comes with suppositories as well as a tube of cream that is to be applied externally. I am NOT a doctor but have used the Monistat and honestly see no reason not too. If it doesn't help then you simply call the doc and make the appt. It is an OTC medication and you may find that the cream applied externally will relieve the misery while you are waiting on the doctors appt. Hope you are feeling feleif VERY soon!

My guess is either a yeast infection or a bacterial infection.  Try an over-the-counter cream like monistat.  If that doesn't clear it up, go to your dr..  Make sure your partner gets treated for it too.  You'll pass it back and forth if you don't.  My husband and I past one back and forth for several months.  Very miserable.

I get bumps too. I think it is just from shaving, kind of like an ingrown hair. Maybe you have an ingrown hair and it got infected. Any puss coming from it??
