Vitamin C vaginal tablets
http://www.ncbi.nlm.nih.gov/entrez/query.fcgi?cmd=Retrieve&db=pubmed&dopt=Abstract&list_uids=15474248&query_hl=2

I am particularly interested in lowering vaginal Ph levels.

Has anyone had any experience with these vitamin c tablets?  Any input would be appreciated.  Thanks.

why would you want to mess with the ph of a vagina?

My Ph level has been higher than normal for a few months.  This promotes the overgrowth of certain bacteria.  I do not want to take antibiotics (topical or otherwise) unless I absolutely have to and which I also believe will only be effective against symptoms of a high Ph level.  I am hoping this could be a more natural alternative to address the cause of the problem.

Have you considered taking acidopholous supplements? They do wonders for keeping the vaginal environment in balance.

If you are trying to control the pH level for fertility purposes, you should try Pre-Seed which "coats" the sperm and protects them from the hostile environment.

You can certainly take this indefinitely. Acidophilous is the active ingredient (bacteria) found in yogurt. You could get the same thing by eating kilograms of plain yogurt every day, but who wants to do that?! ;oP

Try taking it daily for a month. You may find that after a month or so, everything is in balance and you can discontinue use. However, as I said, it's a natural dietary supplement and long-term use will only provide added benefit.

This isn't for fertility purposes; I'm just trying to see if I can reduce vaginal discharge which my doctor described as 'normal' yet I still consider excessive.

Do you know if acidophilus can be taken indefinitely?  My Ph levels are highest immediately after my period.  Would it still be effective if I only took it a week or so following my period?
