this is my first yeast infection ever. i'm 17 years old, and two days before my yeast infection began, i went to the GYNO. my test came back perfectly normal and healthy. but as soon as i got this infection, it started itching a lot, and it burned a little bit. i was also unable to have sex with my boyfriend because it hurt so much. 3 days into the infection, i got the monistat 1 day treatment. biggest mistake ever. i took it at 1 in the morning before i went to sleep, and i woke up 2 and half hours later to find that the itching had gotten 10 times worse, and i felt like i was literally on fire, on top of that, i was also very sore and raw. i was crying and took the car to walgreens at 4 in the morning. i was screaming while i was driving because the pain was so unbearable. before i left for walgreens, i had tried to get a cool rag and place it in between my legs, but that didn't help the itching at all. panicking, i sped to the pharmecy and bought vagisil maximum strength itch relief cream, and the wipes to go along with it. i also bought motrin pm to knock me out when i got home. i went into the bathroom, and used one vagisil wipe, then i applied to the cream. within 5 seconds, the itching had completely disappeared. though the inside of my vagina still felt like it was on fire, but that was from the damn monistat. i will never, EVER, get anything from that godforsaken brand again. that was one night of hell! don't ever take it!  but if you do decide to take it, and the symptoms happen to you, go buy vagisil cream IMMEDIATELY!! it was such a lifesaver!
