Was the white grayish mass a miscarriage?

by AiresGirl, Jun 19, 2007 12:00AM
I have been worried for several weeks that I might be pregnant even though I was on the pill.  I was tired all the time, felt sick to my stomach most days and often after eating felt like vomitting but never did.  I started my last pack of birth control pills a week late and so I thought this could all symptoms from that as well.  I started spotting four days ago.  Not really spotting... nothing would be on my underwear but there would be some blood when I wiped.  I have never done this in 14 years I have been having my period.  Today I started my normal heavy period.  (Please forgive the graphicness)  I took pain medicine as I normally do when I woke up before the cramps really set in and that 98% takes care of cramp pain for about 6-8 hours.  Three hours later I got terrible cramps again but about 20 minutes later they subsided.  When I went to restroom there was some clots on my pad but also a white-ish grayish mass.  I have never seen a mass like this before.  Did I have a miscarriage?

It's possible.  Have you taken a pregnancy test?  If this was just in the past day you might have some hormones left that would be measureable on an ept or other sensitive test.
