Yes, I took paxilPaxil Paxil cr years ago and I gained 10 lbs in about 2 weeks! I took it for 2 months but felt like a zombie and stopped taking it. I tried several antidepressants and almost all of them include weight gain, some more than others. The only one i took that actually made me loose weight was wellbutrinWellbutrin Wellbutrin sr Wellbutrin xl. Celexa was pretty good I think I took it for 8 months and maybe only gained 5 lbs the whole time. Whatever you decide don't just stop taking them, you could have seizures or other bad withdrawal symptoms, but you can talk to your doc to try different ones if you don't like the side effects of some.
Good luck..... oh I have been a long time sufferer of depression and started taking noni juice as a natural alternative to antideppresants and have had good luck with it. I think i noticed a difference in my mood in about 4 months. That combined with a good multivitamin and maybe some minerals works great!! I'm not sure how severe your depression is but if it's mild to moderate maybe you can look into alternatives.
