Weird bump/lump on groin! Very Nervous

I have had a weird bump in the shape of a sist right on my groin and it varies in size all the time, sometimes its not even there.. i have had this sist like thing for like 5 or 6 years now. I went to the doctor about 3 years ago to ask what it was and she said just a sist caused by hormones... i recently noticed that it grew a little bigger so im worried.. does anyone have any thoughts?

I had this problem too, and my doctor said it may have been a result of shaving in this area. I was prescribed cortisone cream. However, years prior to this, I also experienced lumps and swelling in my groin, and it turned out to be swollen lymph nodes due to HPV. Best thing to do is check in with a doctor again and be very specific about size, shape, and sensitivity of lump, will help them narrow down the possiblities. Good luck.
