What can i do about my periods?

I'm almost 17, had my period for 4 years and they've always been totally regular with occasional mild stomach cramps. A few months ago before my exams they began to get later and later until they were 6 weeks apart, which I thought was stress. They've regulated again now, but two months ago and yesterday I experienced the most horrendous cramps, feeling faint and having nausea, having to poo, not able to stand up and vomiting. Is there anything I can do about it to relieve myself from the pain? I'm scared all my periods are going to be like this now.

The same thing happened to me when I was younger. I am 33 now. However, years ago I was very regular. Stress caused irregular periods for awhile. After a couple years I evened out again. At that time about half of my periods were incredibly painful! Nothing worked! I tried yoga, heat packs, essential oils, Tylenol, period pain medications, ibuprofen, even vicodine! Nothing worked. I would spend one day every other month (sometimes every three months) crying in bed, changing positions every few minutes to try and alleviate the pain... Which also never worked. After a couple years the painful periods just stopped. Now a days I am very irregular, but no pain really.
I hope it gets better for you soon!
Make sure you try everything, just in case something works for you that didn't for me.
