What is happening to me?

I have recently been experiencing lower back pain due to a bulging disc.  A few weeks ago, the pain became worse and I immediately noticed a strange feeling around my genital area.  The feeling is a constant sensation of arousal.  It is not painful, but I am nearly 50 years old and have never experienced this type of stimulation, non-stop.  Could the lower disc problem be causing this nerve sensation?  I met with my orthopedic doctor and brought the matter to his attention.  He didn't seem to think there was any relationship between the disc and the nerves around the vagina or clitoris.  He said I should go see a gyno.  I think my situation involves my bulging disc and the nerves surrounding the area.  It is possible?.

Your docs a quack.  Your spine and the surrounding nerves can have everything to do with genital pain.   Find another doc and perhaps seek out a chiropractor or a pt that deals with this sort of thing.

Sounds to me like you need another doctor who will actually look into these matters for you.

Yes it is possible. It is also possible for lower back injury to affect the nerves to your bladder giving symptoms of urgency all the time.
