What is that smell?

When i was a child I would go in the bathroom after a woman and the smell was very offensive.  Now as an adult, in mid 40's, I find that I have that smell.  I have no infections and this is not anything new.  I do not smell at all until I finish urinating.  Just a funky odor.  It is quite embarrassing to leave a work restroom stall and someone you know walks right into it. I know they can smell it too.  This has been happening for a number of years.  No smell after sex, no discharge, nothing.  Except the bathroom stinks after.  Is this normal?  Does this happen to other healthy women?

Also you might just mention it to your gyno after a vaginal exam, and see if he or she comments.  If he or she thinks your smell is unusual, he might tell you after an exam if you ask.

It could have something to do with your diet. I know certain foods can make your urine have a very "interesting" smell...like asparagus!
