What is this bump on myvagina and how do I get rid of it.

Okay so I am 16 .....and yesterday when I was washing my vaginal area when I came across it.  There is no other way to describe it then a cyst or a pimple with a head. I am a virign but I also masturbate. It only hurts when I touch it and it is on my left lip towards the top. I'm not sure if I did it from shaving or trimming or friction or if I should see a doctor or what help

Hi,

It could be a variety of things, like you mentioned; it could be a pimple, an ingrown hair, a small cyst, etc. ~ having a doctor examine you would be the only way to determine what it is exactly. They're common, and usually these bumps will eventually go away on their own and are mostly painless. If it continues to cause you any discomfort and the appearance worsens, you should make an appointment to have it checked out. Meanwhile, leave it alone, but keep the area dry and clean ( it may drain on it's own or dry up).
