What's going on with me

Hi I am 27 year old female , I am in a relationship for past year with same partner and do not currently use the contraceptive pill or any contraceptive medications ... I am usually pretty regular ( and a 3 day period with  cramps  ) with my cycle  but this month I was 2 weeks early ,no cramps and my period was extremely heavy I was flooding through a tampon every 3 hours , this lasted for 6 days .. Now  4 days later I had a dark red bloody mucus type discharge that has turned to light pinkish / white with a unusual smell .. Can't quite explain the smell it is not fishy at all  but sort of foul  unpleasant and I can really smell it myself through my clothing ..

Can anyone tell me what might be going on ?
