you said you think you have a yeast infection. what exactly are your symptoms? are you sure you dont have bacterial vaginosis? have you been to a dr.?

My symptoms are; Inching, yeasty/B.O. smell, discharge (although not so much like goat cheese as I have read it looks like, just normal discharege only more of it.) and recently redness and swelling.
STD is possible and thats what I am scared of.
I have not gone to see a doctor yet but I think I will soon.

I am going through the same thing! I had 2 yeast infections since my miscarriage in August and last month I had bacterial vaginosis. That was a pain in the but! By late in the day, I feel dirty , itchy and irritated down there! I only feel good when I take my underwear off when I go to bed! I think it be irritation from my shower gel or new body soap! I am sick and tired of it! I have had yeast infections sice I was little. I am afraid I may have infected my partner and he has given it back to me. I don't think he has cause we are never intimate when I have one! I guess I will be calling the doc soon. Massingil use to make a vaginal soap that was really good, but they don't make it anymore. I hate being a woman. How am I supose to try to get pregnanct if I keep having these infections?

Vagisil is NOT a yeast infection treatment; it just has lignocaine, a mild anesthetic, to treat the itching only. Personally, I think it should be pulled from the market, because it only masks the symptoms of so many possible issues. So, if you've been relying on that to treat an infection, it just isn't going to work and probably explains why you're still having symptoms after using it. Try Monistat or GyneLotrimin. I've always had good luck with the three day treatment.

I forgot. I tried a one-day treatment once, and it did nothing but leave me feeling greasy. I've heard lots of women say the same thing. The three-day or seven-day treatments seem to work better for a lot of women.

But I definitely agree with the others re: seeing your doctor, especially since you say a STD could be a cause. It's very important to be tested regularly :-)

It really sounds like BV I have had many and each one has been different and at first I always think it's a yeast infection and it always ends up being BV. Go to your doctor or you can get online and look for a cure but only if your sure it's not an std.
