When did I ovulate??

My last period was on July 17th, and my cycles have been very irregular since I got off the pill 1 year ago. They range from 28 to 35 days..my last cycle was 28 days though. On July 29th (Sat.), I got the usual sharp ovulation pain (which I get during every ovulation) then 3 days later on Tuesday I spotted for an hour in the morning and that was it. By all the signs I was for sure that I had ovulated, but did not begin getting the Cervial Egg White Mucous until 2 days later that Thursday which lasted 5 days, then got another cramp 2 days later on Saturday. I read that ovulation spotting is DURING ovulation, and that would explain the ovulation cramp around the same time, but since the Cerv. Mucous came days later, I am so confused. I have been tracking my ovulation signs for the past year and this completely threw my off since I have only spotted one other time 6 months ago. Which is a more for sure sign that I ovulated, and can the Cervical Mucous come AFTER I ovulate? I would assume the spotting would be more a more precise sign since that would be when the egg is released and my fertile period would have only been within a 24 hour period, but at this point I have no idea. Technically my period was late as of this Monday, but since my cycle is so irregular and there is a week difference in when I could have ovulated, I am either late, or my period is due a week late because I ovulated a week late. Does it sound like I could have released 2 eggs at 2 different times within that week? When did I ovulate!!Help! Thank you so much.

you can definatly ovulate twice in one month and i read somewhere that you can spot after conception. id advise you to research it in detail. to check your ovulation google "ovulation calculator" and you'll find a good list of sites which will help you with the information you need. :)

It sounds to me like you ovulated late. Spotting doesn't always come from the egg being released. You sometimes spot right before you ovulate from the changing horomones. So that would explain why the mucous came later on. And if you did ovulate a week late, then your period will also be a week late. I wouldn't stress over anything, (that could delay your period) and I'd wait about three more weeks before taking a test.  I know it seems like forever but it's better than getting a false result!! Good Luck and I hope everything turns out the way you'd like.

I don't know if I can help with your ovulation time, but yes you can release 2 egss at different times. If you are over a week late I would take a pegnancy test(1st urine in the morning). Have you thought about getting an ovulation kit or taking you temp each morning before you even lift your head and get out of bed?
