Does it itch, burn, or hurt in any way?  Normal vaginal discharge can range from clear to brown spotting depending on the time of your cycle.  It has an odor, but shouldn't be a strong foul odor.  If this is something unusual for you then you can make an appointment with the doctor or get an over the counter screening kit.  If you get the screening kit it won't tell you everything, but can rule out the most common problems to save time and money if you have to see the doctor.
