Who should i talk to derma or ob/gyn?

I have this rashes of mine for almost a week now on my feminine area just a day after the last day of my period it was so itchy and then after another day it went red, scaly and more itchy. I cant help to sratch it but they said it may be due to a fungal infection because of my sanitary napkin and i should try to use a clotrimazole powder(antifungal) to cure the fungal infection. I've been using it for almost 5 days but my feminine area is still red, itchy and scaly. I think i should go on a check up but dont know who to look for an ob/gyn or a dermatologist? :(( can anyone help me with my situation or any suggestion or answer to my question? I want this to be gone. Its really uncomfortable :'(

Hi Chiinii,

These type of rashes can be very uncomfortable. I would suggest making
an appointment with a dermatologist. Where I live, you can't just go to
a dermatologist. You have to have a referral from your family doctor.
Since this is a skin issue, your best bet for relief would be a dermatologist
as this is their area of expertise. I have also gone to a dermatologist for
advice as to how to clear up a rash in the feminine area. Good luck. Eve

You could probably go to either one, I'd go to a gyn.
