Women's hygiene

I have a few questions regarding hygiene in "private" areas. I've tried a ton of different soaps specifically for sensitive skin, I even recently tried baby soaps. However, even then I still react the same way to about all of them, almost immediately after using any kinds of products I become very itchy, swollen, red, and start to produce a lot of extra discharge. I guess what I am asking if anyone's ever experienced these kinds of reactions to soaps in their nether regions, and what you do to keep that area clean?

I am a delicate, sensitive, fair girll like you gals, and I am doubly afflicted with a very wet bottom, which only adds to the misery in summer months for me.

All good advice above. Also, you know what? Baking soda warm baths have done wonders for me for this type of irritation, because I believe it tempers, or buffers, or whatever the term is, some of the sensitivity in this area. I never use cleansers, internal nor external vaginal washes only because this simple strategy seems to worl for me. Try it & see. I put about a cup in a shallow tub, and use my fingers, not even a washcloth. This also has helped with my odour, as to which my wonderful hub can attest!

well just like you I'm delicate in that area..I go to a spanish store and I buy something called..Lemisol..its almost like summers eve wash and except it tingles and make it feels like a cool breeze down there..that is the only thing thats works for me..and I use paper towel instead of my towel..and why wear panties in the house...it need to breath..coverage causes yeast to grow..you ever heard that women who wears tight pants all the time have that same problem..wear a long skirt in the house..and feel free...

Warm water.  Its never a great idea to use any type of soap or cleanser down there as it is a huge cause of yeast infections and contact dermatitis.   Bath/shower make sure you already washed your hands with soap and water in the shower or sink before you got in the bath so no soap particles are floating around in there and are going to rub on your skin especially the inner moist skin.  And forgive me.. eh hem... just open wide and take your hand or a soft wash cloth and wipe in the warm water outside and inside no soap of any kinda.

How about (Sensitive skin baby wipes)? Have you tried them?  Fragrance free that is.  If those don't irritate you you can use them on the outside and inside... one for the inside, then a new one for the outside.  :)
