Worried!

For the past few weeks I have had an ocasional heart beat sound in my ears when I rise to my feet it stays for a few seconds and leaves, my blood pressure is normal, I have been on Benadryl for allergies and had to take a cough syrup a few times in the past few weeks, has anyone had this or know what I am talking about, just frustrated on worrying so much Thank for any help..

i have had that happen to me a few times. all those times, it was when i was "stuffed up"...had a cold or a sinus infection. i think its because there is so much mucus or something...

Could it be vertigo?  A friend of mine thought she could hear what sounded like a "washer machine" going all the time and at times she said it sounded like a heartbeat.  She went to the doctor and of course they monitored her blood pressure thinking that had to be the culprit,...but it turned out to be vertigo.
