I have been taking Yaz, which is a different form of Yasmin with I think lower doses of the hormones. It has been pretty good- I did have some depression that I think was caused by this but I got put on Prozac and that helped. I had tried other forms before but I got terrible acne and also a rash from the progesterone in them. I have had none of this with Yaz.
I don't care for yasmin. at all. though I'm sure that there are many women who have been on it and have suffered no consequences. I am 19, healthy, and not a smoker. There are no genetic causes or blood factors that would have caused me to develop serious side effects from it. However, I did develop blood clots in my lungs from only two months of use. I'm sure I was a rare case, but still, I'm wary of it when I hear someone using that brand. I have several friends that use it without a hitch though, so don't let me scare you! At least you're protecting yourself from unwanted pregnancy in a responsible manner :)
I really like yasmin. I've been on Lo-ovral which is also good. I didn't care for the ring or seasonale.
Seasonale is where you only have a period 4 times a year. I think you should have one every month...so im not so sure about using this one. The difference in BCP's is the amounts of hormones in them.
