Can a yeast infection trigger positive gential herpes results?
I was told I have a yeast infection, when I got my results i also requested a std test, then was told i was postive for genital herpes.

Ok, yea there are two types of Herpes blood test, IGM and the IGG. Did she tell you if you have oral or genital herpes? Have you found out what type she has ordered yet?
Im not too sure but it was a blood test, i just tried calling the doctor n she is on lunch so i will try again a little later.

What type of Genital Herpes test did you get? Did your doc order an IGM or an IGG? There's a big difference between the two being that the IGM has a high rate of false positive while the IGG is 98% sure of detecting if you have Herpes. Call back your doctor's office and ask them what type of Herpes test they ordered for you, and if they say IGM, go back and ask for the HERPESELECT IGG test. Go and search in the ask the doctor forums for herpes tests and such in this website and you'll find useful info about Herpes and Herpes tests. Hope this helps a bit.
