Yeast Infection or Not

Hi,
Let me start from the beginning although it's a little embarrassing. Two Sunday's ago my bf and I were having sex and using a sex toy. Nothing really out of the ordinary. After we had sex it was a little sore but I didn't think anything of it. Well the next day it was like a yeast infection just popped up out of nowhere. The itching was unbearable!!! It was unlike anything I've ever experienced. I went and bought the Monistat 3 and after I took the whole 3 doses, it was better. The itching is gone. However, the itching may be gone but after having sex with my bf for the first time in a week, it burned so bad afterwards. It feels like there are little tears on my vagina like near my anus. While I had the yeast infection, it was all very sore after that. My clit was extremely sore too. Well now, all that is fine but it feels really dry, sore, and almost inflammed near my anus. It's just that area. It hurts when I pee and wipe afterwards and really burns after sex. I don't really know what to do or what it is. With my work hours it is soo hard to get to the doctor's and I really don't want to have to go if this will clear up in a couple days. I just want to know what this may be. I don't know if what the problem is now is from the sex toy we were using and maybe it caused my vagina to tear but it's been almost two weeks. I don't know if this is part of a yeast infection or what. I've been with my bf for 7 years and were in a committed relationship so I'm really not worried about STD's plus I had a pap smear a few weeks ago and it came back fine.
I'd really appreciate some feedback. I just want to be able to have a normal sex life and not be in pain, or itching or anything like that.

Thanks!!

Hi,
This is not so much an answer as an extension to the question for the benefit of our collective learning.

I ask: Is there a possibility of a plastic (latex, or other form of synthetic sex-toy polymer) allergy? Sepsis in intra-vaginal toys has always been a personal concern of mine. Most of us don't have access to autoclaves (sterilising ovens) that med facilities do.. mere soap & H2O has to suffice for us serfs! :-)

Therefore microbes are rinsed as we do dishes, but the materials from which these things are made may trigger responses from our immune systems. Just my question. Yes? No?

I welcome feedback. Thanks in advance.

There are other types of infection that could be the culprit here.  I do feel you must check with your doctor, as antibiotics will clear up these infections.  They will not go away on their own.  One point here is that sex toys should be kept very clean.  Follow this website to fgind out more information:
