Yeast infection going on for months

by sexyhighschoolsenior, Jan 27, 2009 09:49PM
I am a 17 year old female who has suffered from yeast infections since i was 14 years old. The first time monistat cured it. Then about a year later i can down with one that was monistat resistant and then i went to the ob/gyn and got a round of oral fluconazole everyother day for two weeks and it worked. Now about four years later i came down with one this last may. I went to the doctor and she gave me a one time pill of fluconazole and it stopped all the symptoms except for buring. Well i burned at the tip of my vagina all summer and as fall came the burining subsided. Well i got a kidney infection so i had to take anibiotics which caused a yeast infection in December. I went to the regular doctor and they gave me a round 4 fluconazole pills which worked for about three weeks. Then i had my period and it came back so i went to the ob/gyn and she gave me a round of fluconazole every other day for two weeks and i took my last pill yesterday and the burn is coming back along with a white, thick, clumpy and snoty discharge. I am not sexually active so what is my problem? I am not even itching at all. I have been watching my diet really well. Please any advise is needed.
Thanks.

You seem to have a resistant yeast infection. You should keep working with your Dr. But try adding some probiotics and organic coconut oil to your diet, both of these things can help put yeast in check. Just google them then decide for yourself if you think they may help.
