Zoladex and thyroid function before hysterectomy

Hi, I have been injected with Zoladex for 4 months to prepare me for a vaginal hysterectomy due in about 10 days time (for fibroids and possible endometriosis).  I'm aged 54.

My question is whether Zoladex can cause hypothyroidism.  I have been having many symptoms which I'm not sure are side effects of the Zoladex or whether my thyroid has been affected too.

Symptoms are: hot flushes alternating with chills, weight gain, fatigue, aches and pains in joints, decreased immune system so I can't get rid of sinus infection/laryngitis.

Any advice appreciated!
