a sore that hasn't healed for 1 year!

I've been fretting, and frankly too embarrassed to go to the clinic about this cysts like sore i have on my inner groin. I believed it was an ingrown hair and thought it would eventually go away as i tend to get some sometimes but, after it stayed and stayed and stayed i decided to see what could be done about it. after trying to pop it, trying to pull the hair out which i can't seem to find, and many different antiseptic creams nothing has seemed to do the trick. over time its become quite a pest! sometimes it will swell up quite large causing a lot of discomfort especially to the touch or rub of my clothes, but mostly it just bleeds and is excruciatingly itchy at times! I just don't know what it is but am afraid to go and get it checked out! please help

I understand the anxiety. I'm in the exact same position. Did you get it checked in the end? What was it?

You have a medical problem, but are afraid to go to the doctor because you might learn you have a medical problem? Hard to see that as a very logical thing.  See the doctor, he or she has seen a lot worse.
