abdominal pain

by dmolina, Jul 27, 2006 12:00AM
I've been having severe aabdominal pain for 3 years now. Every time I go to the doctor or ER, they tell me they don't find anything and send me home. I've had many test and still nothing. My mom passed away a few years ago from Ovarian Cancer and she went threw the same situation. When I have asked the doctors in the past, they tell me I am too young. If anyone has any clue of what could be wrong with my stomach, please let me know. I am running out of patience, money, and ideas of what it could be.

I would go see a cancer specialist and explain the situation.  At the very least, you can get your fears handled, but certainly an oncologist would take you seriously, which is more than you are getting now.  Good luck!

Have you ever had any kind of abdominal or gyn surgery? The reason asking is because my girlfriend at work has been sick to her stomach for almost the same amount of time. She was back and forth to ob/gyn and gastro doctors to find out what was wrong, but no one found anything. She became very frustrated and depressed. The girl was really sick. She'd come to work half dead. She'd be really nauseated, throwing up, and in terrible pain. I mean she was really sick and weak. A couple of times she had to be rushed to the hospital from the job, and there were other times she would be on disability for a long time, too. One doctor took the time to deal with her and had exploratory surgery performed on my friend. She had adhesions wrapped around her intestines. This stemmed from surgery on her ovaries. She thought she had ovarian cancer because it runs in her family as well. Have you thought of exploratory surgery if the doctors can't find what's wrong?

I had surgery in March but that is the only one I've ever had. It was an exploritory surgery and they didn't find anything. It seems as if the pains have only gotten worse since then. I had my daughter natural with no meds and my pains get worse then having her.
