abnormal period

by kaylen69, Jul 05, 2009 07:20AM
Hi I am 40 years old I have always had a normal period and had 2days heavy flow and three days slow and it had finished-I had my tubes tied 4 years ago and lately my period seems to be staying for 10 or more days now. I am sexually active with myhusband and had a ultrasound 4 months ago when i first started having this problem and was told all is fine. But this last period just wont stop...I had 5 days of just a small amount of blood and then 3 days of very heavy with alot of blood clots and this now is the 12 day of small amounts of blood with a brown color. I am wondering if i could be pregnant and the baby is in the wrong place in my fallopian tubes or what? My body is sore and the area where my ovaries are are tender to touch and I dont know what to do if this is normal or if there is a problem someone please help me
