I'll be 41 in June, I had a hysterectomy in November, I was wondering, I'm having hot flashes and night sweats, is that menopause?

Just wondering if they did a complete hysterectomy?  If they did a complete one they should be giving you hormone replacements..IF they left you your ovaries/ovary then I would think it would take a couple of cycles for your natural hormones to kick back in?

I had a hysterescopy in 2009 and my doctor prescribed me estrogen and progesterorne to bring my hormones back to normal. If not then your system will take some time to get back to track; maybe a few cycles.  If you weren't prescribed any meds then the best thing to do is eat healthy, drink lots of water, exercise and all will fall back to place. Take it day by day; that's I learned.

Hi Purple, After your hysterectomy, did they not put you on HRT, as this would have sorted your hormones out, because that would have stop you hot flushs and night sweats, thats if you were a good candidate, or you could try Black Cohosh.
Good Luck
