hello im 24 yr/o my hubby and i got pregnant back in 2000 but ended up with an tubule and had to have emergency  sugary.. i fell in to a deep depression and gained a lot of weight.. after that i quit having periods after a number of doctors they said i pcod and if i would loose weight everything might start working! well  i have lost a little very little but in the past month i had a dark almost brown spotting lasted one night then a few days later  and found some light pink then 4 days ago started spotting again(rusty color)...but it has lasted four days the 1st day it was strong enough to put a little bit on a pad but not much more sense then... so what im wondering am i ovulating again? or what is going on? hopefully some one can help thank you!!

Oh.. and if you aren't trying to have a child, birth control should help with just regulation your periods.

I have and my boyfriends Cousin have also been diagnosed with PCOS. She is currently trying to have children and she is taking Clomid to help with ovulation. From what I have heard most women need this to have children. Hope this helps.

If you have pcos, your doctor might need to put you on Metformin to help with the symptoms and weight loss. I'm not sure if your ovulating. The only way to tell for sure is to get a blood test at cd21 to confirm if you have ovulated. I suggest to speak with your doctor and ask him/her about metformin to help with your pcos. I've been on this since 9/14/08 and have lost over 60lbs. It is also known that it could help improve your cycles over time.
