anyone try THE SPONGE birth control????

Hi all..just want to ask, has anyone tried the TODAY SPONGE birth control??? I went off birth control and doctor says this is pretty good. thanks for feedback...

I used them for a long time b4 they took them off of the market and was overjoyed when they brought them back. I didn't want to take the pill or get shots, dont trust condoms or foams, so the sponge was great. The main thing is you have to leave them in place until safe to remove, I think 6 hrs, would have to read directions again. Most important, don't leave it in too long. They can cause toxic shock if left in long periods. Oh, and if you have sex 2x within the time frame, you dont need to change it.

Remember on Seinfeld, when Elaine was trying to determine if potential partners were "sponge-worthy"? lol.

I used it once years ago and don't remember much of anything about it, so it must have been okay ;-) I don't think it's anywhere near as reliable as the pill, though.

You're right about the effectiveness. Use another method along with this if you absolutely want good protection against pregnancy.
