Hi, i did not get a positive with one my kids untill i was 9 weeks along. So it is possible to get a negative and still be pregnant.

from what i understand it is pretty rare (but DOES happen) that woman who are indeed pregnant will get a negative reading. this again is rare. pregnancy tests are so accurate early on and will show a positive if you are even up to one day of a missed period. now, there is even a test that will show 5 days before a missed period (just saw a commercial). i was late about 4/5 days and took a test. HOT PINK LINES!!! thats my experience but most often the hpt can detect that hormone early on.

Thank you for your comments, that make me feel allot better. I wish to be PG so when do you guys think i should take another test or should i just go the Dr?

You can try another brand, but a blood test would clear up the question with certainty. Plus the Doc can SEE signs of pregnancy during exam such as the cervix will be closed and did you know that the area around the entrance of the vagina will turn a bluish purpleish color early in pregnancy? So yeah, a trip to the doc would give you the answer instead of wondering.. Another HPT will either be negative, leaving you still wondering why you haven't had AF or be positive which will just mean you need to go to the doc anyway, so may as well just go ahead and see an OB/GYN.
Let us know what happens, and best wishes!
