are these symptoms related to the birth control patch or is it somthing else?

I'm wondering if these symptoms are related to the birth control patch or if something different could be the cause, headaches, hair loss, discomfort in lower back and abdomin (abdomen), foul smelling discharge?

Most sound as if they could be related but there is no way for us to say for sure. The foul smelling discharge indicates a possible bacterial infection. And the pain you are having could also be a sign of a kidney or urinary tract infection. With all these symptoms, you should get in to see your doc to get the mystery cleared up and treat the sx. No sense in suffering needlessly. Try calling the doc that prescribed the BC and let them know what is going on. They will probably bring you in for testing. Good Luck. Hope you are feeling better soon.

Absolutely, go see the doc.  Headaches could be from bcp as well as abdomen discomfort due to bloating (I had that), but hair loss and back pain shouldn't be a side affect.  Hair loss  could be from stress or malnutrition and back pain, I have no idea.  Make sure you're eating properly and try to cut down on stressful things.  The bad smelling discharge is definately not from the pill, that sounds like an infection whether it's a yeast, bacterial, or what, you need to get that checked out.  Please go get checked out for your own peace of mind if anything.  Good luck!

I used the patch for 3-4 months and had terrible symptoms like irritated skin the vagina. No one could figure out what it was and they treated me for bacterial infection even when they couldnt see it. I went through so much of trouble until I decided to give it up.I do remember havinf other symptoms like headache, pukish feeling etc..I would never recommend the patch to anyone myself.
