hey.... i have just recently started taking this birth control pills....its been almost 10days.....but i took the pills regularly till first 6 days and after had gone out of town for 3 days and so i missed my 3 pills in a row....today i am having this breakthrough bleeding and abdominal pain....i am also feeling dizzy....what could be the reason can anyone please help me????

It sounds like you are starting your period. My pharmacy guy always says if you miss 3 in a row, throw the pack out have your cycle, and then when it was finished, start the pills again. You might want to check with your doc just to be on the safe side. Good luck!!

Yes it is your period. By taking birth control and just stopping midcycle it screws up your whole system. The reason why you get your period the week of the placebo pills is because of withdrawal from the hormones. That is what your body is going through right now.

I was told once you stop the pill they leave your system and your cycles go back to the way they were before.I stopped my pills may 19th and am now 5 weeks pregnant as I ovulated june 4th so I would wait and see what goes on you could talk to you doctor also but dont rule out that you can get pregnant!
