hi my name is gemma, i came on my period a week earlier than normal , which was the 1st of march, and now it is the 25th and i still haven't stopped, it's a brown colour and comes with cramp's, i have been to see my gp and he put me on norethisterone to stop the bleeding, but it is not working,   i am stressed at the moment, is this why or is some thing wrong with me?

I'm going through the same thing this month. I got my normal period on March 9th. Then I got it again the 24th. But this time I haven't had to wear a tampon, and it's been brownish blood the whole time. I DID just start taking birth control again after not having been on it for about 6 months. I started the pack on Sunday March 11th. I'm barely finishing up the first pack tomorrow, and I'm wondering if I'll get a THIRD period. I think my messed up cycle has to do with re-starting the pill. Have you done anything like that this month?

I believe I know what you are expierancing. I too had a problem with my period this month, for me it started 3 times [march 3-9, march 12-16 and on march 19-24] my bleeding finally stopped on march 25 with the occasional brown discharge. Your hormoans may be out of balance, or your period could just be off this time around.

I would suggest to go and see your gyn or primary doctor just to make sure nothing serious is going on. Is there any chance you could be pregnant?
