blood in stools

i had blood in my stools. should i panic? what should i do? this is the second time this has happened. no pain.

was there blood on the toilet paper when you wiped?  It does sound as though it may be small hemorrhoids.  They are often painless & go away on their own.  BUT if there seems to be a lot of blood or any pain I'd suggest you talk to your dr. A slight correction though is the blood is ON your stool & not in it.  IF it were in the stool it could be several other causes. Only way to know if it's in or on is to collect it & cut into it using a popsicle stick.  Sounds gross I know but ur dr will ask if it was in or on & this is the easiest way to know.

How much blood?
This is gross to talk about, but sometimes when I push too hard or my stools aren't soft enough I get these little hemorrhoids. Sometimes they won't hurt at all, but they'll bleed a little bit.
