Antibacterial soap. Use a lufa (sp) and scrub. That's what I was told. Ya may need to go to the doc. for it. I hope that helps. i hope it's nothing to worry about. Oh yeah, try to go with out indies too. Let me know if it works.
I have had boils in every place you have described. You need to use Anit-bacterial soup. You can also get the Doctor to give you some Anti-botics like amoxicilin or ampilicilin. They are basically the same thing. That will target the boils from the inside and it will help them from coming back. Good Luck! :)
Recurrent boils are also an indication of diabetis. You may want your doctor to check your fastingFasting glucose tolerance test Glucose test - blood glucose levels. Sometimes it is just an infected follicle that infects another and it just keeps going. The stronger antibiotics like Amoxycillin or Cotrimoxazole no longer work as effectively now as the strands of this Staph has become resistant to most of them. Sulfa is the best one. Boils like to lodge themselves on warm parts of our bodies that have lots of fatty deposits. While Antibacterial soap is liked by many of prevention, it is also a big factor in transmitting it to the body. It dries the skin. When it washes out and kills the bacteria on the skin, it also is too harsh on the skin and leaves it prone to breakdown. Once there is a torn section on the skin, not visible to the naked eye - the bacteria enters freely and can also be transfered to different parts of the body. Sometimes a person can have 2 or more live boils at a given time, it is because of such harsh soaps or lotions to the skin. You need to see a Dr. because sometimes the absess (abscess) can go the wrong way and make a tunnel on the bone and that could lead to serious complications. Boils look like a minor thing, but they really need a trained medical professional to examine them and treat them. Dont do the old fashioned home remedy of squeezing them. Do a lot of hot sitz bath at the hotest temperature your skin will tolerate without burning you. That will make it ripe faster and then burst out. Use some of that Triple Antibiotic ointment around the area and practise thorough hand washing after touching that. Also when you use a rest room, if no seat covers are provided, use toilet paper to pad that seat so you will be protected from picking other strands. You never know these days. The latest boils they are seeing are MRSA (Methicillin Resistant)they could end up being treated only by a very expensive drug called Vancomycin if they are so recurrent that your body has tolerated most of the drugs and you are no longer responding to it. Sorry for taking such a long space and time. I am just trying to say - GO SEE A DOCTOR!!!
