breast pain

Hello!  Has anyone every experienced breast pain when they lie down at night to go to sleep? I'm 45, and my left breast is painful to the touch right near their nipple area. I had my b/f see if he could feel anything and when he pressed that area it hurt and he said he felt something. I made an appt for the doctor for tuesday. I haven't bang it or anything. Does anyone know if breast cancer lumps are painful? Could it something else, but what?

I do have yearly mammograms, the last one i had was in August.  I have an appt tomorrow so hopefully it wont be anything. my breast are usually tender around my period but I'm  not due for that yet, plus normally when i touch them during that time i don't say ouch, so this is different. wish me luck and thanks again for you feedback

I agree. you should definately look into getting a mammogram. there are numerous signs and symptoms associated with cancer, so it is difficult to diagnose without having tests ran. Its good that you made an appointment, because a professional opinion is definately in need here. although you should worry, dont stress yourself out too much. it could very easily be nothing, same as it could be something serious, and sometimes the over-stress when waiting for results can be too much to handle. good luck, and I hope everything turns up ok.

I would be concerned.  I think that you should get a mammogram done.  Have you ever had one?  After 30 women should really start getting regular mam's done.  Hopefully it's nothing, perhaps you have a clogged duct or gland.  You are also at 'the age' when premenopause starts to screw with you.  Good luck and I hope it's nothing serious.
