brown period blood

im 16 years old and i just started birth control, after i was finished with my first month my period was completly normal and now that im nearing the end of my second month my period is about 1 week early and its spotty, and brown in color. im wondering if it is normal, or if it is because i missed 1 day and forgot to take my pill. my boyfriend and i rarly use a condom now which i know is dumb. and the last time we had sex was about 5 days before my period came. is this normal or should i be worried?
