bump on perineum

I have a hard bump on my perineum.  It is oval shaped and feels like a pimple but does not have a white head.  it isn't painful unless I touch it or am wiping.  Its pretty close to my anus and I'm not sure if its a hemroid or some type of weird pimple.  I haven't been shaving or waxing there for a months since I am extremely prone to getting ingrown hairs.  It appeared the day after I had sex with my boyfriend.  I am worried that it might be some type of std.  It doesn't look like or feel like the descriptions of herpes or warts that I have read and seen online.  There is no fluid or bumps.  I am hoping someone knows or has experienced this.

I suppose my advice is a little late for you.  This could be a carbuncle and is very serious, especially around the perineum area.  It cannot be treated by a gynecologist as it is outside their area of expertise.

List of causes of CarbuncleFollowing is a list of causes or underlying conditions (see also Misdiagnosis of underlying causes of Carbuncle) that could possibly cause Carbuncle includes:

--Staphylococcus
--Staphylococcus aureus

TopCauses of Carbuncle (Diseases Database):The follow list shows some of the possible medical causes of Carbuncle that are listed by the Diseases Database:

--Eosinophilic pustular folliculitis
--Staphylococcus epidermidis
--Impetigo herpetiformis
--Acne vulgaris
--Staphylococcus aureus
--Anthrax
--SAPHO syndrome
--Hidradenitis suppurativa

It needs to be surgically lanced (cut open) to drain and packed with an antibiotic.  Usually high-powered oral antibiotics are also prescribed.  Often they have you come back for inspection and repacking on three successive days.

Treatment list for Carbuncle:The list of treatments mentioned in various sources for Carbuncle includes the following list. Always seek professional medical advice about any treatment or change in treatment plans.

--Oral antibiotics
--Injected antibiotics
--Pain relief
--Surgical drainage
--Warm compresses
--Avoid contagion to others

It is nothing to joke about or ingore.

I have the same. it's a bit worrisome but i've been cleared of all STDs. if it wasn't painful, i'd cut it off myself. If I ask the doctor, i'll let you know what she says. Odd we'd all have the exact same thing? I'm a pretty small person and it seems to me the bump generated after sex, when i had ripped. Now i cannot get it to go away!
