I had a pain like that. I went to urgent care. They sent me for an ultraousnd and back home. I was supposed to call in the next day. By then I had a high temp 103 and was throwing up. They sent me to the hospital where the put me on antibiotics and tried to determine if it was an ovarian cyst ruptured, my appendix or an ectopic pregnancy. After four days, I was feeling better and they sent me home. Never did tell me what it was. (Obviously not an ectopic and apparently not my appendix since I still have it.)

However, my cousin had bouts with his appendix several times, then it finally ruptured (never was super painful). He was at sea in the Navy. He had to be taken by helicopter to another ship where they did surgery. Pretty Scary!!

Might be a good idea to call a doc and get checked.

I think its best to try and get to the dr or A&E you can never tell what it might be, so many people ignore things not knowing if it could be something important and it gets worse and something happens like the post above. If you can go just go even just for piece of mind!

Sounds like it's going down, not up, but that isn't normal either.  I'd consider seeing if the doc can take you today.

Yeah, it could be your appendix; sometimes they are chronic and not acute, and you should see a doc.  It could also be an ovarian cyst on that side.  I have had both (my appendix finally ruptured, that is how dumb I was about getting to the doctor quickly) and frankly they can hurt equally as much.
