it is possible for the home test to be wrong. I would schedule a pregnancy test at your local health dept to make sure.

Yes, I had a hormone imbalance and had only 3 periods in a year in my late 20's.  My body was producing too much estrogen (long story).

So, on the surface, a pregnancy test can give you a false negative but that is usually early on in pregnancy.  Two months late, it would be unlikely.

I'd follow up with your doctor and they'll confirm pregnancy one way or the other right off the bat to rule it out and then will work on why you are not menstrating.  good luck

Many things can cause a late or missed period. So while it's theoretically possible the hormone wasn't high enough in your urine to show a pregnancy, I think it's still pretty unlikely. I suggest talking with a gyn to make sure everything checks out. You might also want to get a blood pregnancy test, just in case.
