it is possible for the home test to be wrong. I would schedule a pregnancy test at your local health dept to make sure.

So, on the surface, a pregnancy test can give you a false negative but that is usually early on in pregnancy. Two months late, it would be unlikely.

Many things can cause a late or missed period. So while it's theoretically possible the hormone wasn't high enough in your urine to show a pregnancy, I think it's still pretty unlikely. I suggest talking with a gyn to make sure everything checks out. You might also want to get a blood pregnancy test, just in case.
