can't read my preg. test

I took a HPT and the line the shows up to tell you your pregnant didn't show up, only a few dots on that line showed up. To be more specific it wasn't solid at all, bit there were definetly some dots on the pace where the positive line would be. I tested again, but I didn't use first morning urine, and the second time there was nothing. What does this mean?

According to peeonastick.com, an incomplete line should be consided a negative. It's a very good site for HPT and OPK information.

Sounds like a dodgy result. If the second test was negative then you may want to retest a couple more times to get better odds on your results. But personally it sounds like a negative. In my experience if I'm pregnant it has ALWAYS shown up on a hpt. If I've tested and get negative or evap. lines etc I'm NEVER pregnant. This is baby #4 for me so I've done them a few times!

I took three tests last month and two had faint blurrs under the pos, but I got my af as usual last week, so that meant neg for me :) - maybe wait a couple days and try again if you don't get your period.

Yeah, it sounds like a defective test.  Wait 2 days and take another one, preferably a different brand.

Thanks everyone. I will wait another week and test again. I used some brand I had never heard of before. But i still don't have any of my af symptoms like sore breasts and cravings. I will def keep you all posted. Thanks again!
