I had a 9lb 4oz boy in 2009. I tore up in quite a big line. Its been 2 years now and when I try to use tampons its not that they fall out, but no matter the size of the tampon or what I do I can feel it, and its very uncomfortable. Really *****! I'm not on the pill right now so I am getting heavier periods than I'm used to because before pregnancy I was on the pill for years. It really ***** to have to wear pads, but not really sure much can be done about it...
It is nice to hear I am not the only one with problems in this area.
My first daughter was born by c-section and I had no problems but since my second daughter was born April 2009 vaginally I have been unable to wear Tampons. They are very uncomfortable making it awrd to walk an impossible to sit down. I guess it is just the shape of my insides have changed. It also took me a long time to resume bedroom activities as it felt "wrong".

I have this problem too, I am small framed but had a 8lb baby girl & was pushing for ages, but then my baby boy who was born 12 months later literally fell out.
I can't keep tampons in & I look like my insides are almost falling out. I have no incontinence problems but am way to embarrassed to go to the docs.
No one tells you this when you get pregnant....all anyone tells you about is stretch marks LOL!
Old post but glad to have found it
WOW!! thanks for the info... it is nice to know that i am not the only one with this problem. i am embarassed to talk about it to anyone i know cause it is just so scary to me. i really appreciate your knowledge on this issue! it totally helped!
I can totally relate. I have had 4 children vaginally. First weighed 5lbs 12oz, second 7lbs 7oz, third 9lbs 5oz!!!, fourth 7lbs 11oz. Sounds like you have serisouly damaged your PBC muscles (pelvic floor muscles) giving birth to a large baby (or large for your frame). Do you also have stress urinary incontience (involuntarily pee a little when you laugh, caugh, sneeze, jump or pick up something heavy)??
Your Gyn will probably say "Do your Kegels", but in all honesty you can Kegel until you're blue in the face and it's not going to help. You should make an appointment with a Urologist if you are suffering from stress urinary incontience as well, because there is an anterior / posterior repair that can be done that will basically put your vaginal floor muscles back where they were before giving birth which will hold your bladder where it should be curing your stress urinary incontinence.
Insurance should cover the procedure since it is medically necessary to cure stress urinary incontience (if you do suffer from that). The added benefit (for you and partner) is getting put back together, and being a Mommy too :)
