chronic vaginal yeast infection

Hello Dr,
Please help me.Im 26 yr old lady who is suffering from chronic vaginal yeast infection since 6 months. I have tried all flucanazole tablets, suppositories etc but i get temporary relief and it comes back! I am in monogamous relation since past 9 years and since 5 months I have abstained from sex but it still comes back.i have tested for other stds and diabetes but negative. I am highly stressed as i read that it could be 1st sign of HIV in women. I have never had any encounters except with my husband who is healthy. Im unable to live my life due to fear and am nearly suicidal. I used 2 get yeast infections in past but only 1-2 in a year. but this time it is chronic. I have to pee every 1 hour and the next day my vulva becomes red and i get the curdy discharge (all this seems to start right after periods and seems to last the entire mnth till next period ) I have had positive c albicans yeast cultures. I have tried yogurt, garlic, everything!!! please please tell me whats going on wiith my body? I am very very scared

HI I FINALLY HAD THE COURAGE TO TEST FOR ALL STDS N IM NEGATIVE FOR ALL!!!! SO IT WASNT HIV CAUSING ALL OF THAT. I WASTED 1 YEAR IN DEPRESSION AND RUINED MY HEALTH FURTHER THINKING THAT I HAD HIV.MY ADVICE TO THOSE WHO ARE PARANOID LIKE ME ..PLEASE DO TESTING AS SOON AS U START HAVING CHRONIC SYMPROMS TO RULE OUT THE STDS SO U CAN START TREATING WHAT U HAVE INSTEAD OF BEING PARANOID OVER SOMETHING U DONT HAVE!! ALSO..I HIGHLYY RECOMMEND FEMDOPHILUS AS I CONSIDER IT TO BE MY SAVIOUR. IVE BEEN ON IT SINCE 2 MONTHS AND MY CHRONIC YEAST VAGINITIS HAS DISAPPEARED!! KNOCK ON WOOD!! ALL D BEST TO ALL!! what brand of grape seed extract do u use?? cud u plz enumerate d ingredients n d company name??
i saw one in wallmart but it had yeast as a ingredient!!! so i did not buy it...

i buy grape seed extract in pill form at rite aid its a little pricy but you can find it at any pharmacy. I'm not entirely sure if it will get rid of an infection you currently have but it will help prevent them so will garlic pills...which can also be found at any pharmacy. I think there are also pills other than dulifan (sp?) that they can give you that should get rid of an infection. If not look into the boric acid i've talked to a couple ppl since posting who have tried it and both women said it worked great took a couple weeks but got rid of their infection

i just discontinued d monistat (actually tryin 2 wean frm it) n today i doscovered tht im gettin really a lot of slimy n yeasty discharge (sorry 2 sound grose ) but this is d kinds discharge tht i get just bfore d clumpy thing starts to come :((( im so depressed..plz help

from where did u get d grapeseed extract..is it in a pill form or liquid form??plz let me know

Yeast infections can be caused by all kinds of stuff other than HIV but if its a fear get tested it will make sure feel better when you get that negative test back. I never tried the boric acid because the grape seed helped me a lot, but if i ever get another horrible infection im going to try it. ive had mutliple doctors suggest it to me. i believe you can get a prescribtion or buy it OTC. Try typing boric acid for yeast infections into a search engine. I was told it takes about 2 weeks for this to clear up an infection. The last doctor informed me that boric acid is toxic, but in small doses within the vagina its ok...read up on it and decide if its something  you really want to try,


I have also heard (and tried) sticking a clove of garlic in the vagina. garlic kills yeast. did it for about 3 nights at bedtime and sure enough cleared up the infection, but smelt like garlic. It worked though, but the infection wasn;t horrible...i just didnt have money for OTC medication

whenever i search the net this thing crops up "Repeat infections that occur immediately following treatment, or a persistent yeast infection that does not respond to treatment, may be the first or, at least, an early sign that an individual is infected with HIV."
im so paranoid..please help me..

I too suffered from horrible yeast infections, got them almost monthly. Talk to a doctor about using boric acid suppositories. I know it sounds weird but i've had multiple doctors tell me if i get an infection that just won't go away to try it out. It is suppose to help a resistant strain of yeast that can hide within the vaginal walls. Also, it was suggested to me to take grape seed extract nightly..it is a natural anti fungal. I've tried it for a year now and i've had 1 infection instead of 1 a month. It was also suggested that if i do feel an infection coming on that i can take garlic capsules because it is a natural way to fight infection. I would talk to a doctor before trying any of this because every person is different, but it has helped a ton with me.
