chronic yeast infection

Over the last few months, I have experienced frequent vaginal itching and lumpy discharge but without any distinct odor. It begins a few days after my period, and lasts for a week or more. Previous tests by doctors reveal that I have a low level yeast infection, but nothing of concern. however, I am sick of experiencing discomfort, though it is apparently quite minor. I have tried over-the-counter homeopathic remedies, which work temporarily, but hte problem always returns. I am in my twenties, having had one sexual partner for the last few years (no STDs) and no sexual activity for the last few months. Please let me know if there is anything major that I should be concerned about and what I can do to stop this cycle.  Thank you for your help.

I full support wearing long skirts with no underwear to let air get to the perineal area for women who have a history of chronic infections. I used to get chronic yeast infections, but now, when I feel one coming on, I dont wear underwear and I take the Lady Soma Candida Pills. Those two things combined make sure I never get the yeast infection, and if it starts, it goes away in 1-2 days.

Garden of Life Fungal Defense is one of the best yeast detox on the market. Follow the directions,it takes about 2 weeks. if you need to do it another 2 weeks, it is safe to do. i couldn't believe what came out of me. i could literally feel and see the yeast, fungas and virus' on my skin. It was the best decision I ever made. Nothing I had tried before even touched my yeast problem. Good luck.

But doesn't vinegar feed yeast...That's why they say that you should stay away from sugar, vinegar, fungi like mushrooms and mould like cheese?? I was also on the yeast free diet for 8 months. I am now easing my way back to yeast breads but all natural. I have noticed that I am experiencing my headaches again but that may be due to the fact that I haven't had acupuncture done in two months...

I struggled with low level yeast infections for my late teans and early twenties.  I tried just about everything to treat it.  Homeopothy, alopathic drugs, extra b vitamins, tons of garlic, tea tree oil suppositories, herbal remidies and everything else I came accross(I was working in a health food store at the time).  Nothing cured it because nothing treated the problem systemically.  It was not until I went on a very strict candida elimination diet that I found relief.  Check out "The Body Ecology diet" by Donna Gates.  It's a tough one to stick to but is definately worth your health.  Candida/yeast affects a lot more than your sex organs.  Two of the best things I've used since to deter a potential yeast infection are raw unfiltered apple cidar vinnegar, I take shots of it and sometimes douche with it (diluted), and oregano oil taken oraly in caplets.

i also experience frequent yeast infections. i started drinking danactive daily about 2 months ago and have not had an infection since then. also, i had chronic inner ear itching which went away after about 3 weeks of danactive. i also have had a toenail fungus for over a year that is finally going away.

i will also say that i drink/eat a couple of tablespoons of flaxseed everyday that is naturally anti-fungal, anti-bacterial, anti-viral that i started taking a couple of months ago.

good luck
