clindamycin and fluconazole - BV, Yeast

by kellym23, Oct 27, 2009 11:03AM
I am abroad overseas and have had some weird symptoms that started like an allergic reaction to scented tampons (lots of swelling, very irritated and inflamed, etc.) and now I have the basic symptoms of a yeast infection. Without really thinking it through I started taking clindamycin (bc my boss had extra) 600 mg 1X a day and am on day 3. I knew that is how you treat BV but I wasn't sure what to do at the time. Now I got my hands on Fluconazole and would like to start taking that to get rid of this yeast infection....  does anyone know if I take the Fluconazole now if it will be ineffective or should I wait until I'm done w/ the clindamycin (I guess I'll finish after another 2 days). Any feedback would be appreciated! Thanks
