Are you on birth control? When we have our period theres water retention that makes us feel bloated and keeps it flowing (bc loss of blood) thats why in midol there is a diaratic..which increases urine frequency so we dont feel as bloated. If your on a birth control thats new it tends to shorten your period. If your not but you have gotten older your period can also change with age. Mine did the same thing..now esp that I am on birth control.
Frequent urination can be a sign of a urinary infection, you could also experience some discomfort, the bloated feeling may have a connection.
If you started a new diet that too can cause frequent urination by getting rid of excess fluid in the body.
You do not say how old you are. As your periods have changed, this is either due to a hormone imbalance or the premenopausal stage of your life.
Make an appointment to see your doctor and take a urine sample to test for any infection or cystitis.
The doctor will probably do a blood test to check for hormone levels.
Hi jess1687,
I just finished reading your comments. Sometimes frequent urination is
caused by a bladder infection. I'm not saying you have one for sure, it's
just a guess. I would also suggestion making an appointment with your
family doctor and find out for sure. I wish you well. Eve :)
