constant BV

Ok, I really hope someone will be able to shed come light on this situation.  I am 24 years old, and I have been on Ortho-Tri Cyclen for over 8 months now.  About 2 months ago I had a yeast infection, or that's what I thought.  I treated it with Monistat 1-day.  I did notice relief from the constat icthing.  About 7 days or so after the treatment, (still haven't had sex yet) I began to notice an uncomfortable burning feeling, like there was a "hot plate" in my pants, a white/grayish watery discharge.  I then got my period, and felt fine while I had my period.  After that it was still bothering me, so I made an app. w/ my GYN.  She said I had BV and treated me with Flgyl 2x a day for 7 days.  I got the generic and noticed an improvement.  Once treatment was over I felt the same again.  I tried to have sex, but I could b/c it burned.  Went to GYN again and she said that she still saw BV and yeast under the microscope, but also saw the "good" bacteria that should be there and that that was a good sign.  Gave me another dose of the Flagy but for 10 days and Diflucan for the yeast.  I felt better while on the treatment in the beging.  I only have 3 days left of the antibiotics and I am starting to feel this wierd burning sensation again, although not as bad.  I don't know what else to do.  I also feel like I have to pee alot.  Oh and I have been with the same partner for 7 years.
Please Help!!

Did you ever get over the burning and bv. I have been going through the samething exactly. I tried fem-dophilus and it seemed to help some, but now it just like before. i have also taken three rounds of flagyl to no avail. Also ended up the last time breaking out in hives. I just don't know what else to do.

When you take flagyl sometimes the doctor can recommend milk thistle to help.  Eat lots of yoghurt and fresh garlic.  Has your husband also been treated for the yeast infection? You may be spreading it back and forth. Anyway good luck to you!
