contraceptive advice

by massageangle, Jun 11, 2007 12:00AM
hello...i am currently taking the microgynon 30 contraceptive pill, i did not have a break this time so went straight onto this packet now. I had a problem with my neck so am taking muscle relaxants. As i did not have any food prior having the tablets for my neck i was sick, i am worried that this has effected the contraceptive protection. I had taken the pill on the wednesday and was sick on the thursday does that mean i wasnt protected for that wednesday? i have taken the pill as normal after that .

I believe it would only be affected if you had have been sick within 30 minutes of taking the pill. After that point it's in your blood stream. So if you were just sick the next day, it's fine as long as you can keep it in your stomach for at least 30 minutes after you take the pill.
