Make sure you're drinking lots of water. Early Braxton Hicks contractions can mean your body is dehydrated, so when you start getting them, get up, go to the bathroom, and drink plenty of water. It should help. But yes, you need to tell your doctor about them, he/she needs to know everything that's going on with your pregnancy.
