I thought i was the only one not pregnant having contractions.i acually had one really long one while at thE.R and was gjven somethi g in my I.V to stop it but was never given an answer as to why that was happening,i dont think the doc knew because he always direct all the attention on the reason that i was there.that same nght i was there for pleurisy.i ddnt get pain in my back but my abdomen tightend with the same feel of labor.i have children and it felt no different.i experience "kicks"every so often
I have heard that nipple stimulation can induce contractions so perhaps it is a related sensation for some? I have delivered 3 babies vaginally and never experienced it though. You will KNOW when you start getting contractions...but I'm sure you've heard that before too!
are you 28 weeks pregnant OR 38 weeks pregnant?
i am 28 weeks pregnant
and thank you for your help
You are sooooo right! That was great advice!!!
How are you doing? Is your back feeling better? I know the last couple of weeks during pregnancy are especially difficult, and uncomfortable. Back pain is also quite common....hauling around a full term fetus can do a number on your back....good news is...as soon as that thing comes out....it is allll better!
I know this sounds stupid, but enjoy these LAST QUIET MOMENTS as much as you can. When the baby comes out, you will quickly realize that they seem to be easier to take care of when they are in your stomach! (and quiet!) Don't get me wrong, motherhood comes with endless amounts of joy, elation, love, bonding like you never experienced, glimpes of God everyday, giggles under the covers, and even naming rights...but in turn, you will also experience exhaustion like you have never seen, frustration, dissapointment, confinement....
Best of luck to you during this time....
And have I mentioned that I have the up most respect for you to have chosen to have this baby? I know you are very young...and you have made an extremely courageous and sacrificial choice that will pay off. I am so proud of you for taking this on....it will not be easy, but you will make it. You are a strong and brave woman.
I have never had that....I haved delivered 2 babies vaginally. Real contractions are exactly like menstrual pains...to the most. I somehow during my first pregnancy thought labor pains would be my ENTIRE tummy....it is NOT. The contractions are down low, across the lower abdomen, and in the lower back...They feel like a really bad period. The sharp pains in your breasts might be milk glands preparing for their duties....Hope that I helped...how far along are you?
