cramping and the pill

I have been on levelen 28 for 6 weeks now... I started the tuesday after my missed period (thanks to my hmo screwing up). I skipped my inactives two weeks ago and just started a new pack.

As for sex.. we have been using condoms all but once. 8 days ago we were having "unprotected" (no condom) sex for quite some time but he never "finished" because my youngest woke up crying with a bad dream and my partner fell asleep in the meantime.. LOL! I know the whole sperm can still be present but like I said, I'm on birth control too. Then we had intercourse again 2 days ago but with condoms this time.

I've been having a bit of increase in white, non-foul odored discharge since last week... no biggie... but starting last night I've had cramping... not so painful I need tylenol, but not feeling so good either... and I feeel bloated.

Now I am NOT worried about pregnancy.. not very paranoid on the pill, and added with the fact that the one time we didnt use condoms in the last two months wasnt all that great,w ell I think my chances of being pregnant would be very miniscule...

Oh, and I havent missed any pills. My first month on them I was late a few hours on one.. but the unprotected sex was like 2 weeks after that, so again I dont feel "at risk" because of it

So my question is.. it is normal to have this cramping on the pill? I dont remember it from last time I was on them, but they were a higher dose AND that was many years ago. I also used to skip my inactives then but again, I dont remember if I had this symptom or not.

Thanks in Advance

not triphasal, but the cramps seem MUCH better now.. so I guess they are the pills. Funny thing is that I noticed they would start like a few hours before I need to take the pill.. like I'm coming down in hormone levels and then next morning I wake up and I'm fine.. then late afternoon it starts again... so it must just be the hormone levels.... hopefully it solves itself... because its a tad annoying ;o)

thanks everyone

I don't know if your pill is triphasil or not but mine is and I sometimes have slight cramping from one week to the next when the hormones change.

yep, this is just your body reacting to the hormonal changes. you will probably notice you are in pain for the first few months. these cramps will go away after 3 -4 months or so.

Hey,
I take Yasmin 28, and am not familiar with your birth control.  As far as me when I first started taking it, I was crampy and ended up throwing up, but am fine now.  Maybe your body is just getting acclimated to the hormone changes.  Best of luck!
